PATIENT TRANSPORTER

Thorek Memorial Hospital is a stable community hospital with its roots in Chicago for almost 100 years. We are dedicated to excellence in patient care, serving our community, and committed to the continued learning of our employees. We are looking for a dedicated Full-time Patient Transporter to join our hospital staff. Primary responsibility is to move patients from their rooms to various locations within the hospital. Along the way, you should ensure they are comfortable and provide them with friendly companionship.

Patient Transporter Responsibilities:

  • Assisting patients or lifting patients into wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Transporting patients to various locations in the hospital for medical procedures.
  • Offering support, encouragement, and solace to patients.
  • Ensuring patients are comfortable and safe during transit.
  • Monitoring the scheduling system for transport requests and completing them promptly.
  • Delivering laboratory specimens, medical equipment, supplies, and mail.
  • Complying with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate daily logs.
  • Providing information and directions to patients and visitors.

Patient Transporter Requirements:

  • High school diploma required
  • CPR certification required
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting required
  • Excellent emotional intelligence and communication.
  • Reliable time-management and punctuality.
  • Must have at least 1 year experience as a Patient Transporter
  • Good physical fitness.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

We are currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our nursing team. This position is a Full-time position with12 hour shifts (7:00 pm - 7:00 am or 7:00 am - 7:00 pm) requiring the employee to work 3 shifts a week with alternating weekends. The ideal CNA applicant will comfortable in a variety of patient care situations and should able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

The responsibilities of the CNA include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs direct and indirect patient care activities according to established policies and procedures, observes and reports changes in patient conditions and maintains a safe and clean patient environment.
  • Performs basic nursing procedures including thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressing, perineal care, urine tests, enemas, anti-emboli stockings, skin care, colostomy care, turning, hoyer lift operation, positioning, instrument preparation, changing beds, and other procedures as assigned.
  • Performs EKG's and assists with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures in accordance with level of training and departmental procedures.
  • Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight/height, respiration and pulse.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year experience as a CNA
  • High School Diploma
  • CPR required
  • Nursing Assistant Certificate required
  • Up to date IDPH Certification required
  • Bilingual a plus

CLINICAL DATA ANALYSTS

Job Description:
Clinical Data Analysts for Chicago, IL location. Apply knowledge of healthcare to analyze clinical data, and to identify and report trends. Compile and analyze data. Research best practices and develops business intelligence reports to assist management teams. Execute analytical projects. Perform clinical data collection, validation, visualization, and reporting. Leverage programming skills to explore, examine, and interpret large data sets in various forms. Develop and maintain data pipelines. Supports senior leadership by leveraging data, analytic insights, and critical thinking to execute strategic vision and track results. Provide statistical/data analytic support to other departments upon request. Coordinate automation of internal and external reports. Technical environment: Meditech Magic EHR including Data Repository; Report development in SQL Server (queries, SP, SSRS); Clinical nomenclatures and mapping; Meaningful Use Program, MIPS, eCQM reporting; Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas); Jupyter Notebooks; Python; Pandas; Tableau; VBA scripting.

Required Skills: 
Master's degree in healthcare administration or Data Analytics plus three years of experience in the job offered or in healthcare administration/quality assessment required.
