Thorek Hospital and Medical Center offers a multidisciplinary cancer treatment program. The program offers early detection screening, patient education, and the latest in treatment and technology: immunotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery and radiation therapy.
Thorek provides the latest therapies for treating a wide range of cancers: breast, lung, prostate, brain, head and neck, gastrointestinal, gynecological. A personalized treatment plan is recommended for each patient based on the type of cancer, its stage of development and the patient’s health. The treatment plan includes patient education on all aspects of the patient’s care: diet and nutrition, managing side effects, pain management, rehabilitation and support groups.
The addition of our Varian Linear Accelerator and Nomos IMRT (intensity modulated radiation therapy) provides patients with the latest radiation technology for treating a wide range of cancers, including inoperable tumors and tumors located near vital organs where surrounding tissue damage is of vital importance.
